So Long Farewell....

It's Official...my husband has sold his Jeep! Yes it is a bittersweet day in the Frogley house today....Jared has had a jeep since I have known him. When we met he was driving a 1990 red jeep wrangler....there were many memories in that jeep...I remember the first day I met him he pulled up next to my car as we were all about to leave and he had all these guys piled in the back of his Jeep just hanging out with the top off, and he had his one leg hanging out the side...oh he was so cool. Or the time when we were still dating when we drove up to Mccall with the top off...I was trying to study, but the wind was blowing my papers everywhere so I just decided to sit and enjoy the drive. Then on the way home that night it got really cold so I sat between the front two seats on the floor by the heater and cuddled up the Jared the whole drive home. But When it came down to it as the time passed we were just having too many problems with it and it wasn't the most reliable vehicle...so I made him sell that one. Then what did I do? I turned around and let him buy the exact same red Jeep Wrangler just new (newer it's a '97) and improved. That probably wasn't the best decision, but I didn't want to be one of those bossy annoying wifes that's like, "No you can't buy another jeep...it's not practical!" Well nowI guess I am one of those wifes.... the time has come that our family is rapidly expanding and it is just not the most practical vehicle to have now. We can barely fit both car seats in the back (they sit right next to eachother...no room in between) and then that leaves no room for anything else like, I don't know, luggage. We decided since we love to go camping and the majority of our reunions are up in the mountains that we needed a vehicle that could fit us all in it and would be good for that kind of stuff. We don't want to have to take our nice car up some random dirt roads in the mountains...we want that baby to last and to stay in good condition. So we are in the market for a truck! I am actually pretty excited about it and even though Jared is very sad to say goodbye to his precious Jeep, I think he is really excited to have a truck...come on...what guy doesn't want a truck!? So we are looking for a four dour...most likely an F150 or something....those things are huge in the back! We could easily fit three kids back there and then throw all our stuff in the bed. That way we will be able to put off buying an SUV or Van(I had to throw that in there even though Jared refuses to drive a van) until we are on to our fourth kid. So that's it....She's been a great car, but it's time to let her go...
I told Jared the only thing that makes me really sad is that Boston is so attached to daddy and "his jeep." I think that almost made him cry....hahah ok not really, but it did make him sad he was like, "forget it...I'm not selling it." It's ok though....Boston loves trucks and will totally adore whatever vehicle Jared drives.
