We ran 16 miles today for our training for the marathon. My lungs felt great, and my energy was good. I didn't feel really tired at all, but we hit about mile 12 and my legs were killing me. They were so done...just shutting down. We stopped a couple times for drinks and a potty break, but the stopping at the end almost made the pain worse to start back up. I hope that as we get into these higher miles that my legs will adjust and get used to it. The thought of running another 10.2 miles after what we did today scared me just a little bit.
I can do this....I can this.....I know I can do this.
