When i was pregnant with the twins the prenatals were making me SO sick but I still wanted the nutrients. So I started taking Gummyvites from costco. They are vitamin pills for kids and they were gummy bears. Kyle always tried to steal them. haha. Anyway, they made me feel better.Samanthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17880695865006726741noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35570342.post-80479615246681254422009-11-01T10:01:55.793-08:002009-11-01T10:01:55.793-08:00I tried it all, nothing worked until I took Promet...I tried it all, nothing worked until I took Promethizine....it is very small and it helps to take it with sprit since the carbonation makes it float. Anyway, I had to be feed through an IV the whole 9 months with both my boys so I can sympathize. Talk to your OB they have stuff that is safe to take and will help plus if you are really sick you need to make sure you are not dehydrating. Ginger Ale is good, eating every 2 hours helps if you can stand it. Try regular potato chips instead of saltines (they have more "nutrients" if you can believe that!) Maybe chicken broth and beef broth. Basically if you think you can put it in your month eat it, but really try to stay hydrated. Lemonade helped me a bit. I hope this passes for you soon. Although they tell me if you are really sick, your hormones are really on a roll and that means things are going well with the pregnancy (not much consilation when your hanging your head over the toliet I know ;-)Erikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02226399425956456521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35570342.post-59272173870998480272009-10-29T23:49:24.705-07:002009-10-29T23:49:24.705-07:00i quite taking prenatal vitamins and that did it f...i quite taking prenatal vitamins and that did it for me.Tyler - Danielle - Emreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14965994906354301462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35570342.post-63030072466980651112009-10-29T15:25:54.347-07:002009-10-29T15:25:54.347-07:00I didn't read what other people wrote, but vit...I didn't read what other people wrote, but vit. b, and fenugreek. I never took fenugreek for nausea (only to increase breast milk), but I hear it works great for nausea in pregnancy. With my boys I would just throw up and feel good, but the whole being nauseas thing ALL the time I think is worse then just throwing up! I lived off of saltines and mac n cheese! I tried to eat before I got too Hungary, and I would take vitamin B6. Those seemed to help me. I did take zolfran a couple of times, but it never seemed to do anything for me. Good luck and I will say that with my boys, my morning sickness lasted 4 months but this time around I was only sick for about a month. Hopefully it goes them same for you because it was so hard! I think having two little busy boys didn't make it any easier on me, but I can't imagine working nights on top of that! Good luck, and hopefully you find something that works for you!waltershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12049358177300806600noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35570342.post-39018438464431236742009-10-28T06:53:08.579-07:002009-10-28T06:53:08.579-07:00Oh one more thing..I quit taking the prenatals. It seemed that was the only combo that I held down ok. I worked up through 36 weeks and still don't know how I did it...it could mean you are having a girl ;)
I would just run it by your OB and maybe they can give you something to calm your tummy. We don't blame you one bit and it's your blog and HELLO- you are pregnant.

As far as rememdies, I was kind of the same way. Nothing ever sounded good to eat but when I didn't eat I'd just get more nauseous. But you need to eat something every 2 hours or so- for me the things that worked best were toast or teddy grahams or something mild like that. But the most important one that helped me were saltine crackers. My mom tried to get me to eat them but I don't even like saltine crackers to begin with! But once I tried them they really made me feel a lot better. So that's my 2 cents. Saltine crackers.

I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well. And night shifts sound like the WORST. love you.Samanthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17880695865006726741noreply@blogger.com
