Bedtime Troubles.

So when we got back from Powell I finally got Boston to start sleeping in his new bunk bed instead of the crib. I just told him that the baby had to sleep in the crib, and he was ok with it. It was actually kinda funny....now every time we got to put him to bed he points to the crib and says, "baby sleeping...." like there is actually a baby in there now. I don't tell him any different though cause if it makes it so he'll stay in his bed then I am ok with that. Anyway the past few days he has been eating a ton (which he never does) and taking really long naps (which he also never does). I don't know if he is going through a growth spurt or what, but I just feed him as much as he wants, and let him sleep as long as he wants. Well yesterday he took like a 3 or 4 hour nap which was crazy, but I knew he would not be tired when it was actually time for him to go to bed last night. Sure enough 9:00 roles around and he is wide a wake. So I let him come sit in bed with me with his little DVD player and watch Curious George. I thought he would just fall asleep....oh no, he finishes the movie at 11:00 and doesn't want to go to bed at all. He put him down anyway though and he went right to sleep. Out of no where I hear Boston crying at like 4:00 in the morning....he never wakes up and cries like that. Jared thought I should just let him cry, but I was worried that maybe he fell out of the bed or something. He hasn't fallen yet, but he never cries like that at night....so I got up and went into his pitch black room and I hear him come screaming across the floor to my legs. Sure enough he was out of bed....and wouldn't get back into bed. I don't know if he was too scared or what. I ended up putting him in bed with us, but I am still curious as to whether he fell out of bed or had a bad dream and got out of bed. I am sure if he fell I would have heard him hit something cause his toy box is right next to the bed. I guess I will never know....

Doesn't it seem like whenever you think you have a nice nap and bedtime routine down and you are enjoying the consistancy then all of a sudden your child goes through a growth spurt, gets older and needs less sleep, gets sick, you go on a vacation, or they just get a little more clingy!! It may only last for a while, but it kind of just throws you off a little bit!!
