Frist Time for Everything.

So first of all I have to give a shout out to my amazing mother! My mom came the night I had Tayden to help me out at home. The day after we had the baby she stayed at our house and watched Boston and Keaton for us until we finally got to leave the hospital. She helped me SO much around the house.....cleaning, cooking.....and I mean really cleaning. She even scrubbed my moldings. I love her so much and so appreciated all the help she gave me. My dad came down just for a day to see Tayden and then left with my mom this morning. Anyway thank you, thank you, thank you to my wonderful mom.
So back to there's a first time for everything. Now I don't know if today's incident is a result of the fact that we had a little incident a week ago with our sweet nephews and crayon on the walls, or the fact that we just brought Boston's new little brother home, or both, but I was very surprised today at what Boston had done. He was playing in his room, and I thought he was being awfully quite. I heard him start to yell from his room so I went to find him and see what he needed and I didn't see him in his room....I thought maybe he was under the bed or something. Anyway I yelled to him to see where he was and he was in his closet. When I got to the closet I found him on the top shelf of the chaning table in his closet with an open marker. He had colored on the wall, the dresser, and the changing table in the closet. I couldn't believe it. I could tell he felt so bad once he realized what he had done was bad. I went and got Jared and he scolded him and put him in time out. I almost wanted to cry cause I knew that he didn't really realize what he was doing was bad until I got there. I think he learned his lesson. When he was done with time out he came to me and said, "mom I want a piece of paper to color on...." Luckily it was only a dry erase marker so it wiped right off the dresser and changing table, and I had a magic eraser sponge that took it off the wall. Hopefully this was the first time, and the last time that Boston will write on the wall.

Ugh! I hate markers! When Carson was 5, we were over at a friend's house. The next thing I knew, one of their kids came running in the house and said Carson drew on their house! I went outside, and sure enough Carson had written his name with marker on the siding of their house! I was mortified! Luckily it came off though. We then decided to teach him a lesson though when we got home. We got out his favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and colored it with marker so he'd know how it felt when someone messes with your stuff. Needless to say, he was devastated. We had a good talk though and then we gave him the opportunity through chores to earn a new turtle. He's never drawn on things without permission again.
