My First Attempt at Life with Two Kids.

So yesterday Tayden had a dr.'s appointment. It was the first time that I had actually gotten ready and left the house with both boys. I woke up two hours before I even needed to be to the appointment and got ready before either of the boys woke up. Then I had to get Boston up, fed, bathed, and ready, and then the same with Tayden. I totally forgot how much time it takes to get things done and get places with a newborn....let alone with a toddler too. I barely made it to the appointment on time. I guess I keep forgetting how much time it takes to sit and nurse too. Anyway it actually went ok....but it definitely doesn't make me want to jump out of bed and get ready everyday and try and take both boys anywhere.....hopefully I will become a little bit more brave in the future.
With that said Tayden's appointment went well. He had already gained a few ounces since his birth and everything else looked pretty good....which it a total change from when Boston was born. We were in and out of the hospital and dr's office for like 2 weeks straight cause he wasn't gaining weight and he was still jaundice. What a nice change. The only thing the Dr. mentioned was that we needed to pay close attention to the piece of skin that attaches his tounge to his mouth. He was worried that it might be a little short and that can cause lots of problems in the future. It is easy to fix if it is caught early enough though. When he is 4 months old they can just go in and snip it a little and the problem is fixed. So for now we just have to watch and see if he can stick his tounge out past his lips....once he starts doing more than just eating and sleeping of course. Anyway I guess that's all for now. I had to have Jared take a picture of our first attempt out of the house. It is kinda funny cause Tayden looks like his head is going to fall off by the way I am holding him and Boston would not cooperate for the picture at all....So needless to say the picture looks a little bit like how our day went....far from perfect but a pretty good first attempt.

Both of my boys were tongue tied. Really it's no big deal to do it. Nathan was 6 months and we had it done because he had a hard time eating real food. When I knew Dane was I didn't want to wait and had it done at 3 months. They wanted me to wait but I'm glad I didn't he ate so much better afterwards. So if he ever had a hard time nursing, consider it, it really helped after it was done.

Your boys are adorable! I'm impressed with the outing. Newborns suck the time away from you!

Myles was tongue tied also. We had his clipped in the walk-in clinic, it took about 2 minutes. He was having a hard time nursing before, latched on like a real man after! He was about 1-2 months or less.

Hey! Looking good...I am nervous to go back to all the hassle of a newborn especially with such a crazy toddler, but it will all be worth it right? Glad everything is going well, can't wait to meet him!
