I Hate Decorating.

We are in the middle of a MAJOR remodel project in our house and it is stressing me out a little bit. Not the remodling part, but the post remodel decorating part. I want things to look cute and put together...and I always have so many ideas running through my brain, but it never seems to come together the way I want it to...thus the reason some of the main rooms in my house still aren't "finished." Most of it is probably because it has to be done on a budget. I am sure it would be easy if I could spend whatever amount of money I would like. Ha...that would be nice. Anyway we are turning our "formal living" room into an office/den area. We just never used it as a formal living room...especially because it was totally open to our main living room. It was kind of a wasted space. So Jared built a wall to close it in and we are moving all the office stuff into that new room and turning the old office into a playroom. Yippee...I am very excited about the idea of having a specific room where the kids can play (close to where I usually am because that's where they want to be) and where all their toys and things can go. It will be close to a bathroom and the back door as well. I am hoping it all comes together and the boys actually like to play in there. I am dreaming of a perfect little potterybarn dream playroom you see in the magazines that my kids would love to spend hours upon hours playing in, but I am sure it won't be quite that awesome. :) I think the new room will do the trick though once it is finally put together. I will post some pictures once we get a little more done. I wil say though that my husband the handy man already has the new wall framed, tapped and textured, and painted and it looks amazing. It is great to be married to someone who knows how to do EVERYTHING. :)

What a great idea!! I can't wait to see it. I wish my house had just one extra big room that we could use as a playroom downstairs. Why do kids always want to be where you are???

That is awesome! You'll definitely have to post pictures when it's finished. I think you are great at decorating. I know what you mean though. We haven't done a thing and people always ask us if we just moved in.

We have a tiny playroom downstairs and it's saved my life! Does wonders for the mess my kids make while playing. Great move! You'll love it! And to have an office too... that's going to be awesome! Good luck!
