Labor Day.

I haven't had a Labor day holiday off in 8 years since I have been working graveyards. I had been talking back and forth with Kristen about finding a time to meet in the middle and go camping together with our families. We decided on Labor day because it was the only time Kristen had off from her busy wedding season. I was luckily able to get the day off and we headed up to Pendleton Friday after school. The trip started off a little rough when the tent trailer blew a tire only an hour into the drive. Lucky for me I have an awesome husband who can fix things like that in ten minutes flat, and we were back on the road.
We stayed at the Wild Horse Casino and Resort. I wouldn't really call it camping haha. It was much to glamorous for the camping I am used to, but I wasn't complaining. They had a nice RV and trailer park with bathrooms, heated pool and hot tub, and showers. And we could use the indoor facilities as well. It was really nice to get away and spend one last weekend as a family with some amazing friends before we got back to the craziness of school and schedules. We mostly swam, hung out and visited, ate great food, and the boys went golfing. Since the boys went golfing one day us girls really wanted to go and do something fun, just the two of us like get a pedi or something, but we ended up just going down the street to DQ and eating ice cream and talking without a million kids running around us. haha. Anyway, it was a great weekend.
