Sigh...

Wow it has been a very long week. I feel completely drained and I think that is all has finally caught up to me....and I have gotten sick with whatever all my boys have. I knew that was bound to happen. Monday I got the call that Tami had passed away, and Wednesday night I was on a plane to Washington. I took Tayden with me and left Boston with Jared. He had to stay to test for Boise City. We got in really late Wednesday night and it seems like the rest of the week was such a blur. It went by so fast. We had the viewing on Thursday night and then dinner at David and Peggy's. Then Friday was the funeral and that night we did dinner at Jeff and Becky's. I have to say that the funeral was one of the best that I have ever been to. There was tears, laughter, and so many good memories of Tami. Everyone did an awesome job of speaking. I was amazed at the strength that her kids had. I hope and pray that they will be ok. I know that they can get through this tough time....I think that they have a pretty amazing support group. If there is anything good that can come from an experience like this it is being able to have all of our family together. I LOVE more than anything those times that I get with my cousins and Aunts and Uncles. It amazes me how much love and support and friendship we all have for each other....I just have to mention that we ended Friday night in true Earl fashion with a dance party. I swear anyone from the outside looking in would probably think we are crazy, but I love it. I love dancing the night away with ALL my family. Who knew so many white people could have so much rhythm. It was definitely a bittersweet feeling.I wasn't ready at all to say goodbye to everyone....although I really missed Jared and wished that he had been there with me. He had a really difficult experience with his tests. He was up the entire night before throwing up and spent the entire day through his tests vomiting. When he called to tell me he just completely broke down. It broke my heart. I know that he really wants this and he felt like he had blown it. The good thing is that he still passed everything....he didn't do as well as he had hoped this second time around, but he passed. So now it's up to them to decide. I really think everything will work out. We can't see the bigger picture and if this is not what Jared's supposed to do then we will move on. I know he is so capable of great things. Everthing will be ok....

Myca I am so glad you were able to go home for Tami's funeral. I agree with your dad, what an amazing attitude. I know whatever is in store for Jared will work out how it needs to. Keep us all updated and I hope everyone begins to feel better.

What is Jared testing for? Is he still trying to be a lawyer...I know I am way out of the loop. Good luck to him.
