Officer 833.

Today was Jared's graduation from the advance academy and his badge pinning ceremony. The graduation was really good. Jared was nominated by his fellow officers to speak at the graduation in front of the city council and the Mayor. I think he was a little bit nervous but he did an awesome job. What was even better about the graduation was that Jared was awarded the Tactical Edge Award which was..

"For being chosen by the peer group of class 0901 as the officer that most embodies the attributes of a tactically sound officer. The officer each of us hope to see should the situation deteriorate."

Pretty freakin big deal huh? I am so proud of Jared. He is now officially out on the streets (with another officer) until September and then he is on his own. I can see the excitement in Jared's face every time I look at him. He is so passionate about his work and eager to get out there....it's in his blood. All his hard work will hopefully pay off now and serve him well in the field.
