Broden James.

I don't have any pictures yet...dang it. Alysha had her baby yesterday. Wow it was such a relief when he finally got here. She really wanted to have this baby totally natural without an epidural and especially without pitocin. But when she went in (11 days over due) her fluids were low and they told her she needed to be induce. They pushed for a c-section right away telling her that the baby looked like he was going to be ten pounds (yeah right) and that because she was not dilated or hardly effaced that they didn't know if she was even a good candidate for an induction. But you know Alysha...there was no way she was just going to have a c-section without trying. So that night they hooked her up to pitocin and gave her an ambien to sleep through it. She woke up the next morning and really hadn't progressed at all. Boo. She spent the entire rest of the day on pitocin with NO EPIDURAL. She was dying by that night and totally exhausted. We finally convinced her to get an epidural if she was going to try and keep going since she was still only a 2 ish and 75 percent effaced. She got the epidural and got some rest, but basically, things didn't get much better and Broden's heart rate kept dropping and they decided they had tried long enough and delivered him by c-section at about 2:00 in the morning. He was 8 lbs 110z and is doing great. I think Alysha was disappointed, but ultimately just happy that he made it here safe. We are excited to have another little man in the family. I am so happy for Alysha and Brandon!

of course Alysha would be so hardcore even in childbirh!! Glad everything ended up okay, and can't wait to see pictures of the little guy.
