The Month Of May.

AS soon as we got back from Mexico we started on a house project that has been long over due. The side of our house had had water issues for sometime and had really just been a big mess. We had been trying to save up the money to cement the entire side, and also put in a basketball hoop. The kids have really wanted one and I was totally cool with it, but Jared wanted a GOOD STURDY SERIOUS hoop. I thought he was crazy haha, but I told him he could save his pretty pennies if he wanted to spend that much money on a hoop. So three years later we finally have a hoop. haha And the cement is done. I am so glad I let him talk me into it. The kids love it and we basically spend every night out there as a family shooting hoops. Tayden finally learned to ride his bike. It has been like PULLING TEETH to get him to do it. He didn't even want to try to the point where Jared (the one who is by far the more patient one of the two of us) wouldn't even work with him on it. I finally made him a deal (serious bribery) and he learned! And now he loves it. It makes me so happy to see him out there riding his bike with his buddies on our street. Demry finally wore her first set of pigtails. They were adorable and I am so in love with her. I think this is such a fun age that I am usually obsessed with all my babies at this age haha. I can't get enough of her...except for when she screams. That I can do with out. haha. She does it ALL the time. I finally had to see the physical therapist about my back. It had been 10 weeks since I hurt it and it just wasn't getting better. He basically told me a was stupid and should have stopped lifting when I did it. I thought by significantly cutting back on specific exercises and weight that that would have helped, but no. He suspects that it's a bulged disc. So I have been doing nothing (besides the elliptical) for the last two weeks per his orders. He told me he doesn't want me to even touch a dumbbell. It's been a little sad just because I really love it, but I hoping that taking a rest and doing everything the PT tells me to do will at least get me pain free again and hopefully back to lifting soon. I had a wonderful mother's day. The boys woke me up to cinnamon rolls in bed and some lovely flowers. Jared also got me a massage. I love being a mother. It is one of the most difficult things I have ever done in my life, but it is also so rewarding. I have so much love for my kids. Some days I worry so much that I might mess them up, or that I am not doing a good enough job. I hope they know how much they are loved. All these pictures are out of order and random. Oh well.

So my kids ran across not only your freshly laid concrete but ran across your "saved for three years so it would be perfect" concrete... we are the worst ever. Little girl pigtails make the world a better place. No exaggeration.
